Privacy notice

Crealean is a mark in preparation, and the business behind it is not yet registered. Until it is, the controller for any personal data described here is the individual operating this site, who can be reached at info@crealean.net. The registered name, legal form, company number and address will be published in this section as soon as they exist.

For anything in this notice, including any of the requests listed under Your rights, write to that address. It reaches a person, not a ticketing system.

Less than you would expect. There are no accounts, no shop, no trackers, and no advertising on this site.

• The contact form collects nothing. It does not send anything to us. It opens a draft in your own email programme with the details you typed, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there. At that point we receive an ordinary email — your address, your name, and whatever you wrote.
• Server logs. Our host records the usual technical details of each request — IP address, time, page requested, browser and referrer — to serve the site and defend it against abuse.
• Your storage choice. If you answer the storage notice, your answer is saved in your browser so you are not asked again. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
• No analytics. The site runs no measurement scripts at all. The storage notice keeps a switch for it, off and doing nothing, so that none could ever start without your say-so. See the cookie policy.

Under the GDPR we have to name a legal basis for each use, so:

• Answering you — legitimate interest in replying to someone who chose to contact us about our product.
• Running and securing the site — legitimate interest in keeping it available and resistant to attack.
• Analytics — consent. None runs today. If any is ever added it will not load unless you switch it on, and you can withdraw that at any time.

• Emails you send us — kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. If your enquiry leads to a contract, the correspondence around it is kept for as long as the relevant commercial and tax rules require.
• Server logs — held by our hosting provider for a short period that it sets, then discarded. We do not download them, copy them anywhere, or keep an archive of our own.
• Your storage choice — until you clear your browser storage, or change it from the footer.

The site is hosted and delivered by a third-party hosting and content-delivery provider, acting as our processor: it handles the server logs described above on our instructions and for no purpose of its own. Ask us and we will name the provider in use at the time — the site is early enough that we expect to change it.

Our fonts are served from this site rather than fetched from a third party, so loading a page does not announce your visit to anyone else. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Our hosting provider is based outside the EEA, so serving you a page involves transferring the technical details in those logs — your IP address above all — to a third country. That transfer relies on the safeguards in the provider’s data processing agreement: an adequacy decision by the European Commission where one covers the provider, and its standard contractual clauses where one does not. Ask us and we will tell you which provider and which safeguard apply at the time.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit what we do with it, or to hand it over in a portable form. You can object to processing we base on legitimate interest, and you can withdraw consent for analytics whenever you like without affecting anything done before.

Exercising any of these costs nothing and takes one email to info@crealean.net. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live, where you work, or where you think the problem happened — you do not have to come to ours to do it.

The revision number and effective date at the top of this document change whenever its substance does. Material changes are summarised here so you can see what moved, rather than being folded silently into a new version.
